2009 Korean Shim Sa -123

May 9th 2009 (saturday)
"The Korean Soo Bahk Do Association, Moo Duk Kwan held the 123rd Dan Shim Sa on May 9th 2009 at the Central Dojang in Seoul Korea.  Candidates were represented from Kyong Sang province, Choong Tchong province, Chun Ra province, Kyong Ki province and Seoul.
HC Hwang Kwan Jang Nim share his view on the Shim Sa regarding the Sok(speed), Sun(line), and Mi(beauty) in their performance.
 
He also shared an article on the 26th classing Dan Shim Sa at the Moo Yei Si Bo which was published on November 1960.  According to article, there were 3 special guest at the Shim Sa.
They are Seok, Jin Kyong who was the president of the Korean Judo Association, Cho, Yong Ju who was the president of the Korean community in Japan and he is known as an instructor of Mas Oyama, and Yoon, Kwei Byung who was the president of Ji Do Kwan.
 
Grandmaster Yoon from Ji Do Kwan indicated he had many experiences in Moo Do both in Japan and Korea.  He never seen such an orderly conduct with high thechniques and discipline displayed by the Moo Duk Kwan members under the one instructor.  He also comment that he was impressed of number of candidates.  There are 400 candidates at the Kyong Ki province alone."
 
Candidates at the 123rd Dan Shim Sa shared the history and tradition of the Moo Duk Kwan Shim Sa.

Students of Soo Bahk Do Club from the Korea University and the Hang Gong University were together to receive a seminars from HC Hwang KJN.  Sok, Sun, Mi and how it is applied in Soo Bahk Do techniques as well as the indentity as an Moo Duk Kwan practitioner were discussed.
