All Kick-a-thon for the Moo Duk Kwan® proceeds are slated to help fund traditional Korean martial arts education in the Soo Bahk Do® martial art which provides participants with a multicultural experience, supports strong core values, helps develop self esteem, character, fitness and safety awareness for all ages.

This Kick-a-thon was planned as a fun and fit activity for all students.   Students were encouraged to set a realistic kicking goal based on their age and development.

In a dry run before the scheduled Kick-a-thon date, Upper Valley Soo Bahk Do Moo Duk Kwan® students set their benchmark scores for the Kick-a-thon for the Moo Duk Kwan®. Each student had 3 minutes to complete as many kicks as possible.  All kicks were above the belt level and their kicking foot touched the floor between each kick.

Students were asked to acquire sponsors from among their friends, family, co-workers local businesses in their community and request a donation amount based on the number of kicks the student planned to complete in 3 minutes during the Kick-a-thon event.  Students were given pledge sheets and also encouraged to setup personal online fundraising campaign pages to help collect donations from their sponsors at:

Several students and the Upper Valley Soo Bahk Do Moo Duk Kwan® school have setup online fundraising campaigns and they are listed below. Please visit their Kick-a-thon pages and contribute to this great cause.

Even though the local Upper Valley Soo Bahk Do Moo Duk Kwan® Kick-a-thon has concluded, you can still help elevate a student's eligibility to win National Kick-a-thon prizes being awarded to top fundraisers by the 501(c)(4) United  States Soo Bahk Do Moo Duk Kwan Federation when you submit additional sponsorship donations on their personal fundraiser pages before the national Kick-a-thon campaign ends [fergcorp_cdt_single date="12/31/2013"].

When the 2013 National Kick-a-thon for the Moo Duk Kwan® campaign ends, then individual student fundraising totals nationwide will be evaluated and national prizes awarded to top individual fundraisers from all across the nation. (Note: not all students competing for prizes have online fundraiser pages.)
