An Nyong Ha Sip Ni Ka?
My family and I wish you the best during the holiday season and Happy and prosperous New Year!
2018 was a busy year with many annual events worldwide as well as the Moo Duk Kwan® 50th-anniversary celebration in Greece.
World Moo Duk Kwan TAC members were appointed from each WMDK Zone in order to serve the Art and memberships worldwide. They are Dong Kyu Lee Sa Bom, Zone 1 (Asia Pacific zone), Daymon Kenyon Sa Bom, Zone 2 (North America zone), Diego Salinas Sa Bom, Zone 3 (Europe Zone), and Ramiro Guzman Sa Bom, Zone 4 (South America zone).
The World MDK Heritage Membership Program was introduced. The purpose of the Heritage Program is to build a process for future generations of practitioners to connect under the ONE Moo Duk Kwan regardless if they are practicing Soo Bahk Do®, tang soo do, or Tae Kwon Do. The initial concept meeting was held in Philadelphia on September 15, 2018 among tang soo do and Soo Bahk Do® practitioners. A Task Force group was formed after the meeting in order to work toward implementing the Moo Duk Kwan Heritage Program.
As results are created by the Task Force Group, it is anticipated that additional meetings and clinics will be scheduled during 2019. Please connect with this initiative when an opportunity presents itself.
During 2018 the 3rd World Moo Duk Kwan Youth Leaders Symposium was hosted in Korea. Our youth leaders are the future leaders in the Moo Duk Kwan® worldwide.
The World Moo Duk Kwan® TAC, The World Moo Duk Kwan® Heritage Membership Program, and The World Moo Duk Kwan® Youth Leaders Program are the most important areas that need your support.
Thank you for the Moo Duk Kwan accomplishments in 2018.
I am looking forward to building the Moo Duk Kwan history of 2019 with you.
Kam Sa Hap Ni Da.
In Moo Duk Kwan,
H.C. Hwang
