Greetings from the Moment with Masters and the 2019 USA Ko Dan Ja Shim Sa week in Midway, Utah. Congratulations for the 74th anniversary of the Moo Duk Kwan!
Today, it is extra special because of the launching of Memberships in the WMDK Heritage Membership Program. Special thanks goes to the Task Force team for your commitment to accomplish a task today.
I firmly believe that three important factors are for a success of the Program; the first is “Clear Objectives” which is upholding the founder Hwang Kee and the Moo Duk Kwan legacy by Honoring the Past, Building the Future generations”. The second is “Commitment”. Opening for a membership on this special day is a result of Commitment in Action by all. Thirdly, strengthening a Common ground of values that we can share, regardless Soo Bahk Do, Tang Soo Do, or Tae Kwon Do, based on the Moo Duk Kwan culture.
Thank you for the opportunity to present this Program. It is possible because of your participation in the future of the Moo Duk Kwan. I am looking forward to share with you the art and it’s evolving history of the Moo Duk Kwan.. It was a heartfelt appreciation to receive all the messages sent for the Anniversary and Birthday recognition of the Founder. I join with you in wishing the founder, A Beo Nim, Seng Sin Chuk Ha Due Rip Ni Da! (Happy Birthday sir, Father.)

Began training in 1967 at the age of 16, as a member of the Brooklyn Highland Park Y.M.C.A., under the guidance and training of Mr. Mike Masley, Jr., Dan Bon 10180, and tested for Cho Dan on June 18, 1969. Now a certified 4th Dan Ko Dan Ja, and was issued his original testing date Dan Bon 13927 by Kwan Jang Nim H.C. Hwang based on his petition to honor that date and evidence showing Mr. Mike Masley and his instructors, Mr. Robert Sohn, Dan Bon 6037 and Mr. Vincent Nunno, Dan Bon 7291, were legitimate representatives of the Founder, and Kwan Jang Nim Hwang Kee and the Korean Soo Bahk Do Moo Duk Kwan Association in 1969.
