THE EURO WORLD MOO DUK KWAN ® KO DAN JA SHIM SA IS UNDERWAY!

THE KO DAN JA SHIM SA is under the guidance of WMDK Kwan Jang Nim H.C. Hwang, and the members of the World TAC and the Euro TAC members in attendance, hosted by the Greek WMDK Federation.  There are many candidates in the category of Sa Dan, O Dan, Yuk Dan and Chil Dan candidates from around the world.  Below are some of the first images that have been available since yesterday's pre-evaluation and their first day of full training and evaluations.  The 7 day event is meant to bring candidates to their next level of training and competence in the art of Soo Bahk Do Moo Duk Kwan under the organization of the World Moo Duk Kwan, a time tested rank certification process.

The World TAC, seen below are the evaluators, with valued years of experience in the art and instruction, who will be the main evaluators during the week.  There are also other senior advisors and other country TAC members in attendance to support the instruction and evaluations during the testing.

The physical, mental and spiritual experience over the next seven days will test all three of these aspects in their training. The experience is also meant to enhance their connection to the several members attending and training side by side to help improve and refine their marital skills and provide them with a clearer path in their Moo Do journey and their human relations.

The training is intense, demanding and very challenging.  All of the candidates have a vast number of years of experience, not only in training, but also in providing quality instruction in the art, as it was established over 77 years ago by our Founder, and late great Grandmaster (Chang Shi Ja) Kee Hwang, (November 9, 1914–July 14, 2002).  Who established the Moo Duk Kwan on Nov 9, 1945, in Seoul, Republic of Korea.  It was one of the first martial arts schools ("kwans") to open after the end of the Japanese occupation of Korea at the end of World War II.

The Tang Soo Do martial art system developed by "Hwang Kee" was an early precursor to his more advanced Soo Bahk Do® martial art system developed years later.

Moo Duk Kwan® martial art school Founder "Hwang Kee" taught an early iteration of his martial art system and philosophy under the name "Tang Soo Do."  Later he modified the contents of his system and coined the name "Soo Bahk Do®" to identify his unique martial art system and philosophy being taught in all authorized Moo Duk Kwan® martial art schools worldwide.  His Soo Bahk Do® martial art system encompassed the content and attributes of his previous Tang Soo Do martial art system and was expanded and enhanced to include a significant amount of new content.

The Soo Bahk Do® martial art system is a living art that continues to evolve under the guidance of the Moo Duk Kwan President, H.C. Hwang, Kwan Jang Nim.

The Moo Duk Kwan® martial art school's high standards for philosophical understanding, technical excellence and rigorous quality controls stand behind every Moo Duk Kwan® rank certification.
