The 2018 National Festival of the United States Soo Bahk Do Moo Duk Kwan Federation® was held in Montgomery, Texas, just North of Houston at the La Torenta Lake Resort and Spa.
The USA welcomed World Moo Duk Kwan members not only from the U.S., but also countries such as Korea, Australia, France, Spain, Mexico and several others.
Hosted again this year by Region 6 with Sa Bom Nim Gene Riggs serving as volunteer coordinator helping focus the efforts and support of all Region 6 schools, their students, families and friends.
The schools nearest to the Festival site and their students provided tremendous local ground support while distant schools like Kicknfit Karate in Enid, Oklahoma, Oklahoma Karate Academy and others focused on inspiring and helping their students to attend this event:

- Montgomery Karate Soo Bahk Do, Travis Guinn, Sa Bom Nim
- Tomball Karate, John Lupone Sa Bom Nim
- Carthage Karate, Gene Riggs Sa Bom Nim
- Dallas Ft Worth Soo Bahk Do, Ed Horni Sa Bom Nim
Highlighting this years festival was the introduction of the Ship Dan Khum hyung series sequence 1 through 3. The introduction presentation by Craig Hays, Sa Bom Nim, TAC Chairman. Open to all dan members. Part of the introduction by our Kwan Jang Nim H.C. Hwang.
Also several promotions including the Chil Dan promotion of Kriton Glenn Sa Bom Nim, the designee for Australia and also the World Moo Duk Kwan Symposium Chair.
