USA Launches Regional Alpha Team Initiative

Kwan Jang Nim H.C. Hwang along with the senior leadership in Region 2 will launch a new leadership initiative idea to support the PVT II mission in the USA.

R2 ALPHA Team members will be provided with opportunities to train quarterly with R2 Senior Ko Dan Ja in special high level training sessions. During these advanced learning sessions, Senior Ko Dan Ja will share valuable personal training experiences, teaching methodology and other information geared for high achievers.

Advanced R2 ALPHA Team training sessions will also include workshops in which R2 ALPHA Team members can share ideas, propose initiatives or activities and discuss concerns.

These immersive and interactive workshops will serve as project incubators in which R2 ALPHA Team members will conceive and develop activities that can be deployed in Region 2 to improve Region 2 members’ unity, cohesiveness and Region 2’s overall leadership role in growing our Federation.

The Region 2 ALPHA Team program embodies the concepts and aspirations of the Personal Vision Tour 2 (PVT2) as expressed by Kwan Jang Nim H. C. Hwang and is endorsed by him and has the full support of the Region 2 Examiners.

After months of planning, the Region 2 senior leadership with kick off their program on January 17th, 2015.  They have solicited volunteers, dan members 15 years old and above, and Ko Dan Ja who want to be involved in developing advanced leadership training for potential future instructors in Soo Bahk Do Moo Duk Kwan.

The concept is being termed Alpha Team for Advanced Leadership Program for High Achievers!  The initial kick off of the program will be at the USSBDMDK FED Headquarters dojang in Springfield New Jersey with a three hour training session to help introduce the quarterly training program for Dan and Ko Dan Ja members who are interested in advanced instruction and leadership concepts in Moo Do.  Below is a photo of the senior leadership in Region 2 who will be involved in the Alpha Team program.

    Began training in 1967 at the age of 16, as a member of the Brooklyn Highland Park Y.M.C.A., under the guidance and training of Mr. Mike Masley, Jr., Dan Bon 10180, and tested for Cho Dan on June 18, 1969.  Now a certified 4th Dan Ko Dan Ja, and was issued his original testing date Dan Bon 13927 by Kwan Jang Nim H.C. Hwang based on his petition to honor that date and evidence showing Mr. Mike Masley and his instructors,  Mr. Robert Sohn, Dan Bon 6037 and Mr. Vincent Nunno, Dan Bon 7291, were legitimate representatives of the Founder, and Kwan Jang Nim Hwang Kee and the Korean Soo Bahk Do Moo Duk Kwan Association in 1969.
