On behalf of Debby Brnich KSN and the Brnich family, and with deep sorrow, I share the sad news that Thomas Brnich SBN passed away today March 6, 2021.

He was my instructor, a leader, a mentor and a friend. Please keep his wife, Debby, sons, Che and Thomas Jr., daughter, Lisa Marie and grandchildren in your thoughts and prayers.  It is with profound sadness that we mourn the loss of fellow Moo Duk Kwan instructor, studio owner, practitioner, dear colleague and friend.

Funeral arrangements will be shared by the family in the coming days.

Served as regional examiner of Region 2, USA. His instructor is William Ginyard SBN. Original instructor was Michael Garaguso SBN. As an active Federation representative, he helped organize and conduct two National Festival at Cherry Hill, NJ.

On behalf of the Brnich family, I have been asked to share the following information.

Funeral arrangements for Thomas Brnich SBN have been made. In-person visitation will be on Saturday March 13, 2021, from 1-3 pm, and memorial service immediately following at 3 pm at Boucher Funeral Home, Deptford, New Jersey. An obituary and video stream link for guests who cannot attend will be released soon on the funeral home web site.

    Began training in 1967 at the age of 16, as a member of the Brooklyn Highland Park Y.M.C.A., under the guidance and training of Mr. Mike Masley, Jr., Dan Bon 10180, and tested for Cho Dan on June 18, 1969.  Now a certified 4th Dan Ko Dan Ja, and was issued his original testing date Dan Bon 13927 by Kwan Jang Nim H.C. Hwang based on his petition to honor that date and evidence showing Mr. Mike Masley and his instructors,  Mr. Robert Sohn, Dan Bon 6037 and Mr. Vincent Nunno, Dan Bon 7291, were legitimate representatives of the Founder, and Kwan Jang Nim Hwang Kee and the Korean Soo Bahk Do Moo Duk Kwan Association in 1969.
