Our first Dan Shim Sa in the Republic of Panama. Geovani Ernesto Padilla Arauz, was recently evaluated for the rank of E Dan by Oscar Rosado, Sa Bom Nim (2nd from the right), and designee for PuertoRico Moo Duk Kwan, along with Master John Lynch (1st from the right) also a Ko Dan Ja with the Puerto Rico Moo Duk Kwan. Mr. Padilla (2nd from the left) is shown here with his son, Geovani Padilla Jr., a red belt. Mr. Padilla had petitioned for membership in the Korean Soo Bahk ...Do Moo Duk Kwan several years ago. And under the guidance of the Puerto Rico Moo Duk Kwan Designee, Rosado Sa Bom Nim, his dream of being under the Moo Duk Kwan flag and guidance of the Kwan Jang Nim, has succeeded. Rosado Sa Bom Nim along with Master Lynch conducted a weekend long Dan Shim Sa for Mr. Padilla. According to the recommendation of Rosado Sa Bom Nim and Master Lynch, Mr. Padilla met all the requirements through Red Belt and Cho Dan, and was tested for E Dan, which he successfully completed. WE should mention that Rosado Sa Bom Nim and Master Lynch volunteered to support Mr. Padilla in his retraining and evaluation. They set up a line of communication with Mr. Padilla that include video conferencing some of the training requirements for Mr. Padilla. The Kwan Jang Nim H.C. Hwang received his recommendation and has approved his E Dan ranking in Soo Bahk Do Moo Duk Kwan. Mr. Padilla was under another Tang Soo Do organization, but has always respected Kwan Jang Nim's philosophy and expertise under the Moo Duk Kwan banner. Welcome home Mr. Padilla, and we look forward to your growth in your Moo Do Journey. Mr. Padilla has been training in Tang Soo Do since the late 1980s, at the time was a student Pedro Vangas Jr. Sa bom Nim, under Jae Joon Kim's organization out of Florida. Congratulations! Soo Bahk!
