On May 12, 2018, The USA region 2 held its annual TAC Tour for 2018. The seminar and training was held at the World Moo Duk Kwan Headquarters of the USA Federation at Springfield NJ. Line up started at 9:30 am and the training continued into the early afternoon. We have our regional examiners present, Mullen and Brinch Sa Bom Nims, with many special guests including our Region 2 TAC members, Cort Stinehour and Frank Tsai Sa Bom nims conducting the training sessions. From California, region 9, Former TAC member Daymon Kenyon Sa bom nim and his wife, also a Sa bom nim, and our special guest was Kwan Jang Nim H.C. Hwang, who is also a region 2 member.
The theme of the tour of the application of the philosophy Sun Sok Mi, which is addressed in the Soo Bahk Do Dae Kham, Volume 1. The Kwan Jang Nim along with the TAC members have been traveling around the country and around the world, educating and reemphasizing the importance of Sun Sok Mi (line, speed, beauty) in the application and use in Jok gi and Soo gi. Stinehour and Tsai gracefully demonstrated the philosophy in action of Sun Sok Mi. Using the kyo sa rip jaseh in a quick step along with a reverse punch was the basic building block during the exercise and training that was shared with over 70 members in attendance.
We also had for the first time at HQ, members of the Tang Soo Do Moo Duk Kwan organizations from Pittsburgh, PA, visiting, participating and contributing to the training. One of the Grandmaster's personal goals is to eventually unite all those who wear the Moo Duk Kwan Do Bok trim under one Moo Duk Kwan, as one family in Moo Do. We hope we can continue to open our training sessions to our Moo Duk Kwan Tang Soo Do brothers and sisters in the immediate future.
