Region 2 USA Honors Charter Member Frank Bonsignore Sa Bom Nim on his 70th Birthday

Region 2 celebrates Charter Member Frank Bonsignore, Sa Bom Nim on his 70th Birthday at Mountainside, NJ.

Organized by Regional Examiner Mullen SBN and Eng Wong SBN, at the Spanish Terrace in Mountainside, NJ. Bonsignore SBN arrived in the company of Kwan Jang Nim H.C. Hwang, and Region 1 Charter Member Ben Cortese, SBN. "I was completely surprised by the amount of invited guests that showed up", Bonsignore SBN explained. A birthday cake was presented, and a celebration toast by the Kwan Jang Nim set the stage for his 70th birthday celebration. Mullen SBN presented a short slide presentation honoring Bonsignore SBN's history in the Moo Duk Kwan. In 1974, Bonsignore SBN was part of the organization meeting to create the US Federation and also was a charter member at the 1975 charter convention that created the US federation in June of 1975. Bonsignore SBN has been an active member, board member, and part of the Hu Kyun In of senior Ko Dan Ja members appointed by the Kwan Jang NIm. He was also recently promoted to 9th Dan by the Kwan Jang Nim. Needless to say, his more than 44 years of service to the art, he has influenced many, many practitioners during his long association with the World Moo Duk Kwan, Region 2 honors his 70th birthday.     Began training in 1967 at the age of 16, as a member of the Brooklyn Highland Park Y.M.C.A., under the guidance and training of Mr. Mike Masley, Jr., Dan Bon 10180, and tested for Cho Dan on June 18, 1969.  Now a certified 4th Dan Ko Dan Ja, and was issued his original testing date Dan Bon 13927 by Kwan Jang Nim H.C. Hwang based on his petition to honor that date and evidence showing Mr. Mike Masley and his instructors,  Mr. Robert Sohn, Dan Bon 6037 and Mr. Vincent Nunno, Dan Bon 7291, were legitimate representatives of the Founder, and Kwan Jang Nim Hwang Kee and the Korean Soo Bahk Do Moo Duk Kwan Association in 1969.
