The 2014 WMDK Symposium held in San Juan, Puerto Rico, ended successfully yesterday, 9 November 2014. One of the major Agenda Items was the coordination of the planning of the 70th Celebration in Korea. This is an on-going action Item for the entire year and hopefully the event will involve most of you in some way. I believe that the Symposium was quite successful.
The meetings accomplished what was intended and the training with Kwan Jang Nim was as usual, very informative and inspirational. The Zone Designees spent many hours representing the needs of the members of their Zones, the needs of the WMDK, and the Art of Soo Bahk Do. I would like to recognize Glenn Sa Bom Zone 1, Cooper Sa Bom Zone 2, Vatan Sa Bom Zone 3, and Fontora Sa Bom Zone 4, for their commitment and expertise.
And of course, Rosado Sa Bom, the leader of Puerto Rico Soo Bahk Do, was our host, and ensured that we had an ideal facility for meetings, training and engaging in our necessary International relations, which included a celebration of the Moo Duk Kwan 69th. He also served as Fontora Sa Bom’s interpreter in all of the meetings. He and his students helped us to make the Symposium successful. Thank you to everyone involved including Nelson Sa Bom, a US TAC Member, who assisted with the training and provided guidance for his student Rosado Sa Bom in hosting the event.
And of course, this all is made possible through the guidance and dedication of the President and Kwan Jang Nim. His valuable leadership at the Symposium and throughout the year strengthens the future of our Organization and assures the perpetuation of our Art. After a week at the US Ko Dan Ja Shim Sa, we will be completing the Minutes and making them available to all of you for your review and comment. Please contact your Zone Designee with questions and comments.
In Moo Duk Kwan,
Lawrence Seiberlich,
Chairman
