Moo Duk Kwan® Lifetime Achievement Awards are an historic new distinction that the World Moo Duk Kwan® is encouraging its licensed organizations worldwide to embrace in order to acknowledge those in their respective countries who meet the eligibility criteria to be nominated and recommended to the World Moo Duk Kwan to receive this award.
To be eligible to receive a Moo Duk Kwan® Lifetime Achievement Award, nominees must be:
1. Active member in good standing
2. Minimum seventy-five years of age
3. Ko Dan Ja Rank
4. Have a long history of service to the Moo Duk Kwan®
5. Be a school owner or have a long history of service in an official role or capacity.
There are more than 50,000 official Moo Duk Kwan® Dan Bon holders worldwide as well as hundreds of Lifetime Members who have pledged their perpetual support of the Moo Duk Kwan® and its mission of preserving Founder Hwang Kee's Korean Soo Bahk Do® martial art system. The support extended by some members is even more exceptional.
At the Moo Duk Kwan 70th Anniversary in Korea several distinguished Moo Duk Kwan® members, Wha Young Chung Sa Bom Nim (#410), Larry Seiberlich, Sa Bom Nim (#1815) and Russ Hanke Sa Bom Nim (#4137) received the Moo Duk Kwan® Lifetime Achievement Award from Kwan Jang Nim, H.C. Hwang.
