World Moo Duk Kwan Wishes Our Practitioners and Heritage Members...

Happy New Year 2021

The World Moo Duk Kwan wants to wish our senior leadership members, regional and zone leaderships, our practitioners around the world, and our World Wide Heritage Members, a safe and prosperous 2021 New Year.  We recognize the difficult times the world population has faced and still facing, one of the most challenging for everyone.  Our leaders that continue spreading the art through their action, activity, and dedication, have continued to inspire all of us, that there is no limit to our imaginations and spirit when it comes to Moo Do in our daily lives and efforts.

It was so evident during the 75th Anniversary of the Moo Duk Kwan, done in a virtual setting for all world wide members and leadership to enjoy and participate.  We are very grateful to all the young leadership and senior members who put together such an innovative program, delivered to our World Moo Duk Kwan members.  An outstanding effort, that many enjoyed learning more in-depth history and traditions of the Moo Duk Kwan, created by our Late Great Grandmaster Hwang Kee, and our current Kwan Jang Nim H.C. Hwang.

Please re-live those moments by again viewing the opening and closing ceremonies of the anniversary, they are available on our World Moo Duk Kwan YouTube site, as well as this site.

As 2020 draws to an end, let's hope for a better year for 2021, please stay safe and healthy and keep the Moo Do spirit inside of you to share with your loved ones, and students through your connections.  Let us be grateful to all the essential workers who are on the front lines fighting this deadly pandemic.  Remember to wear a mask, practice safe distancing and wash your hands often.

Thank you to all the MDK instructors and assistants throughout the world, Happy New Year!  And thank you Kwan Jang Nim for your continued and endless energy and support.  SOO BAHK!

The Fire
By Phil Duncan

What is it about a fire that draws us to it almost instinctively? We may not even be cold, yet we can't resist "backing up" to a nice warm fire.
