With Deep regret and sincere condolences we announced the passing of Carlos Alberto Schiavo, Sa Bom Nim , Dan Bon #  34642.  Below is the message received from Ricardo Giorgi, Sa bom Nim from Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Con profunda tristeza debo informar que hoy fallecio mi hermano Carlos Schiavo. Pilar fundamental de nuestra escuela de Soo Bahk Do. Los restos de Sa Bom Nim Schiavo seran velados en Haedo , Av Rivadavia 16602. esquina Suipacha Cocheria Carlos Gomez .

Cabezon te vamos a extrañar muchisimo……. GRACIAS .

With deep sadness I must report that today my brother Carlos Schiavo died. Cornerstone of our school Soo Bahk Do in Buenos Aires and Argentina. The funeral of Sa Bom Nim Schiavo will be in Haedo, Rivadavia 16602.

Cabezon we will miss you a lot ……. THANK YOU.

Narrative on Carlos Alberto Schiavo, Sa bom Nim, respectfully submitted by Ricardo Giorgi, Sa bom Nim, Technical Director, World Moo Duk Kwan Soo Bahk Do® , Argentina Association of Buenos Aires.

Master Carlos Schiavo started in the Moo Duk Kwan under Sa Bom NIm Gustavo Poletti guidance in the seventies.
He returned to practice in 1989, and started training under Giorgi SBN’s  guidance. He received his Chodan in 1996 with the Dan Bon # 34642.
In 1992 was  founding member of the Buenos Aires Association.
Member of the Testing Board in Buenos Aires since 2001.
Reach his Sa Dan, Master certification during the  Mar del Plata Ko Dan Ja Shim Sa in 2009.
Participated as visitor in Ko Dan Ja  testing for Argentina.
In 2014,  he achieved his Oh Dan during the Buenos Aires Ko Dan Ja Shim Sa Test
Master Schiavo was recognition by his peers, as highlighted during the  KDJ Shim Sa in 2014.
His Brother is Ruben Schiavo dan # 33542, member of Buenos Aires Board directors and candidate for yuk Dan at Kodanja 2015 in Korea.  To see the Memorial click on the link below:

    Began training in 1967 at the age of 16, as a member of the Brooklyn Highland Park Y.M.C.A., under the guidance and training of Mr. Mike Masley, Jr., Dan Bon 10180, and tested for Cho Dan on June 18, 1969.  Now a certified 4th Dan Ko Dan Ja, and was issued his original testing date Dan Bon 13927 by Kwan Jang Nim H.C. Hwang based on his petition to honor that date and evidence showing Mr. Mike Masley and his instructors,  Mr. Robert Sohn, Dan Bon 6037 and Mr. Vincent Nunno, Dan Bon 7291, were legitimate representatives of the Founder, and Kwan Jang Nim Hwang Kee and the Korean Soo Bahk Do Moo Duk Kwan Association in 1969.
