The World Moo Duk Kwan’s Official Educational Resources for the Soo Bahk Do martial art system

Soo Bahk Do Moo Duk Kwan® clinic in Maldonado Uruguay conducted last weekend.  Myself and SBN Schiavo went to Uruguay to support the Uruguay SBDMDK; giving a clinic to Students of  the Uruguay Federation. SBN Schiavo, traveled with me to assist in the clinic sessions in support of Roberto Fontana, SBN, designee for Uruguay and his students.

We were practicing and  talking about the importance of the next event in Uruguay.  Kodanja Shim Sa South America 2016 and symposium. All this events under the guidance of our Kwan Jang Nim,  H. C. Hwang.

    Began training in 1967 at the age of 16, as a member of the Brooklyn Highland Park Y.M.C.A., under the guidance and training of Mr. Mike Masley, Jr., Dan Bon 10180, and tested for Cho Dan on June 18, 1969.  Now a certified 4th Dan Ko Dan Ja, and was issued his original testing date Dan Bon 13927 by Kwan Jang Nim H.C. Hwang based on his petition to honor that date and evidence showing Mr. Mike Masley and his instructors,  Mr. Robert Sohn, Dan Bon 6037 and Mr. Vincent Nunno, Dan Bon 7291, were legitimate representatives of the Founder, and Kwan Jang Nim Hwang Kee and the Korean Soo Bahk Do Moo Duk Kwan Association in 1969.

What is it about a fire that draws us to it almost instinctively? We may not even be cold, yet we can't resist "backing up" to a nice warm fire. Is it just coincidence that we are so predictable when we are near one or could it be that we have an inborn sense that draws us to it? It seems that almost everyone is attracted to and responds the same way to a well tended and controlled fire. Perhaps this offers a unique insight into one aspect of our art
